In 20 years, wind energy enthusiasts have managed to develop 1.85 GW, so Lithuania still needs 1.65 GW wind turbines and parks. Today we want to invite you to take a look at the TOP5 largest wind farm projects that have been developed in Lithuania over the last twenty years or are still under development, which are very important to our energy independence:<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>1) Amberwind &#8211; Pag\u0117giai 13<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The first such ambitious and large-scale wind farm in Lithuania, with a capacity of 73.5 MW, opened in 2016. The park generates the equivalent of the average annual electricity consumption of 35,000 households.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>2) Ignitis Renewables (Ignitis Group) &#8211; Kelm\u0117 wind farm<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The 300 MW wind is the largest wind farm currently under construction in the Baltic States and will be able to supply 250,000 households in Lithuania with electricity. \u00a0The wind farm expected to start commercial operations this year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>3) UAB Windfarm &#8211; Akmen\u0117 One &amp; Akmen\u0117 Two<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ABOVO red, a German capital company, is developing a 400 MW wind farm, with the first phase of the wind farm started in 2023. The first phase of the wind farm will have a capacity of 75 MW and an annual electricity production of up to 300 GWh.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>4) Enefit Green &#8211; Kelm\u0117 I, Kelm\u0117 II<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project is being developed in three phases. The total capacity of the project will be more than 300 MW and park will generate almost 1 100 GWh of electricity in total.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>5) European Energy &#8211; wind park in Anyk\u0161\u010diai, Jonava, Roki\u0161kis and Tel\u0161iai<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The company has simultaneously developed and installed wind farms with a total 306 MW capacity in 4 districts.
